Song for a friend

A couple of months ago I wrote a song called 'Goodbye Old Friend.'  It came to me after hearing about the deaths of a few friends, including my oldest and only college friend, Michael Kalmonson. It's dedicated to all my friends who have relocated to the next world.

In the studio in Barnardsville, NC yesterday, we finished the song.  It'll appear on my forthcoming album, "Shoot for the Moon" which is being produced as a joint-venture fund-raiser with Mac Angels that supports families with ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease).

Contributing to this track are some brilliant musicians:  Bruce Lang (bass and various other instruments, engineer, co-producer; Paul Babelay (drums, percussion); Molly Rose Reed (vocals). The emotional guitar solo at the end is Fred Gortner (Paladin Realty Partners).

The album will be released in early 2019.  There will be other real estate industry people playing and singing on the album! Corporate sponsorships will be available.

Plans are for a live show in NYC in 2019!
